L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black

Hey Everyone!

Voluminous Carbon Black (and myself. oh yeah. i'm cool lol)
Today after coming to the realization that I needed a new mascara, I decided to browse the Cosmetics section of my local Target. As I walked up and down the aisles I remembered the research I had done the night before on drugstore mascaras. The one that really stuck out in my mind was the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. Oh My Gosh. It is the blackest mascara i've ever used. Like no joke. That's basically what made me love it. I only wear black mascara, and the blacker the better for me. I don't like color or brown mascaras. The reasons being are, One: Colors don't go with everything. Black goes with everything and I am not the kind of girl who owns a million and a half different mascaras. It's wasteful and I can't really afford it. Two: I just don't like brown mascara. Another thing, is that it really pumps up your lashes after you build it up. I like mascaras you can build up. It doesn't smell awkward like the Maybelline Volume express mascaras, it really doesn't have a smell at all, which I really like.
I know its a bit late to be jumping on the Voluminous Carbon Black bandwagon, but better late than never I always say! :) Anyways, I really recommend this mascara if you haven't tried it already. The color payoff is amazing, the price is right, and the volume is amaaaaazing!

Honey Sugar Scrub :)

Bonjour Lovelies!

Honey!
I have a new obsession! Honey. As a part of my skin care routine. Normally when one thinks of Honey, they think of sweet, bees, or food. Skin Care usually doesn't come to mind when I usually think of Honey. I was doing some natural skin care research for things you could do at home, when I came across a lot of posts and videos about the skin care use of honey. Naturally, I was intrigued. After reading quite a few things, I found out that Honey is a natural antimicrobial. This means that it kills and resists bacteria. Plus, it is a natural humectant and therefore good for moisturizing. So, using that, plus my knowledge of lemon juice and sugar, I decided to make a all in one scrub that contained moisturizing, antimicrobial, and exfoliant properties. If you didn't read my post about Chamomile and Lemon Juice toner, Lemon Juice is a great natural exfoliator. We all know that sugar is a great exfoliator as well. I combined all three things to create the best scrub for the face and lips!

You Will Need:
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (doesn't matter which kind. I used orange blossom)
  • A decent squirt of Lemon Juice ( I used "real lemon" )
  • 4 tablespoons of White Granulated Sugar
  • A small tupperware contained (preferably with a lid for storage)
Instructions:

  1. Place sugar in container.
  2. Mix honey with sugar
  3. Add Lemon Juice
  4. Mix again
  5. Apply to face
  6. Massage into skin
  7. Rinse.
I Hope You Enjoyed!
xoxo Liv

Questions or Comments?

It's been forever!

That's right Lovelies! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I know I haven't posted in like no joke forever. I'm sorry about that, ive been on youtube making videos like crazy. To tell you the truth, I kind of got burnt out on the whole daily blog thing,  but I am going to try it again. I will probably be deleting my Liv's Freshman 15, and starting a different daily blog. I will be posting more beauty related stuff and tips. I hope you all can forgive my absence. :)
                                      xoxo Liv
