L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black

Hey Everyone!

Voluminous Carbon Black (and myself. oh yeah. i'm cool lol)
Today after coming to the realization that I needed a new mascara, I decided to browse the Cosmetics section of my local Target. As I walked up and down the aisles I remembered the research I had done the night before on drugstore mascaras. The one that really stuck out in my mind was the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. Oh My Gosh. It is the blackest mascara i've ever used. Like no joke. That's basically what made me love it. I only wear black mascara, and the blacker the better for me. I don't like color or brown mascaras. The reasons being are, One: Colors don't go with everything. Black goes with everything and I am not the kind of girl who owns a million and a half different mascaras. It's wasteful and I can't really afford it. Two: I just don't like brown mascara. Another thing, is that it really pumps up your lashes after you build it up. I like mascaras you can build up. It doesn't smell awkward like the Maybelline Volume express mascaras, it really doesn't have a smell at all, which I really like.
I know its a bit late to be jumping on the Voluminous Carbon Black bandwagon, but better late than never I always say! :) Anyways, I really recommend this mascara if you haven't tried it already. The color payoff is amazing, the price is right, and the volume is amaaaaazing!

Honey Sugar Scrub :)

Bonjour Lovelies!

Honey!
I have a new obsession! Honey. As a part of my skin care routine. Normally when one thinks of Honey, they think of sweet, bees, or food. Skin Care usually doesn't come to mind when I usually think of Honey. I was doing some natural skin care research for things you could do at home, when I came across a lot of posts and videos about the skin care use of honey. Naturally, I was intrigued. After reading quite a few things, I found out that Honey is a natural antimicrobial. This means that it kills and resists bacteria. Plus, it is a natural humectant and therefore good for moisturizing. So, using that, plus my knowledge of lemon juice and sugar, I decided to make a all in one scrub that contained moisturizing, antimicrobial, and exfoliant properties. If you didn't read my post about Chamomile and Lemon Juice toner, Lemon Juice is a great natural exfoliator. We all know that sugar is a great exfoliator as well. I combined all three things to create the best scrub for the face and lips!

You Will Need:
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (doesn't matter which kind. I used orange blossom)
  • A decent squirt of Lemon Juice ( I used "real lemon" )
  • 4 tablespoons of White Granulated Sugar
  • A small tupperware contained (preferably with a lid for storage)
Instructions:

  1. Place sugar in container.
  2. Mix honey with sugar
  3. Add Lemon Juice
  4. Mix again
  5. Apply to face
  6. Massage into skin
  7. Rinse.
I Hope You Enjoyed!

Questions or Comments?

It's been forever!

That's right Lovelies! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I know I haven't posted in like no joke forever. I'm sorry about that, ive been on youtube making videos like crazy. To tell you the truth, I kind of got burnt out on the whole daily blog thing,  but I am going to try it again. I will probably be deleting my Liv's Freshman 15, and starting a different daily blog. I will be posting more beauty related stuff and tips. I hope you all can forgive my absence. :)

Chamomile tea and lemon juice toner!

Bonjour Lovelies!

Chamomile Tea :)
(Not my pic, I thought it looked cute)
I Have a special treat for you all today that is good for you and good for your skin. I played around with some ingredients for a natural toner/ exfoliator. That's when I came up with Chamomile tealeaves soaked in water with lemon juice added to the tea. It works amazing. My skin felt so much more moisturized. I have extremely oily skin, and its still dry. I needed to find a solution that didn't make my face super oily while giving it great moisture as well.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Chamomile Tea Bags
  • two cups of water
  • a tablespoon of lemon juice (fresh or concentrate)
  • Small Microwavable container with lid
Directions:

  1. Fill container with two cups of water
  2. Place tea bags in water
  3. Microwave for one minute, let tea bags seep
  4. Cut tea bags open, and dump leaves in tea
  5. add lemon juice
  6. stir
  7. soak cotton balls in toner
  8. apply to face :)
Hope You Enjoyed!
xoxo Liv

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss

Bonjour Lovelies!

Super Lustrous in Pink Pop
Im currently raving about a product that ive heard so much about, and ive been using it for like a month now. It's Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop. The color range in the US is about 10 colors, which is an ok amount of colors, due to the fact that it has been out for awhile. It is a really smooth lipgloss that isnt sticky and has high shine.

I realllyyy like this lipgloss. Not only is the color pay off good, you can build the level of intensity. You can use the doe foot applicator to give you a sheer effect or you can add more to give it a more opaque look. I really encourage you to try this lipgloss.

Joe Jonas- See No More !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe Jonas <3

Bonjour Lovelies!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!
I am in looooove with Joe Jonas' new single "See No More" Let's just make it clear: Im in loove with Joseph Adam Jonas. period. (haha)
This song kind of brings him out of the tween music scene, and into the more mature adult world of music. The song has a different tone than previous Jonas Brothers songs and thats what makes it good. Don't get me wrong, I still love the Jonas Brothers and want them to go on tour again so I can finally attend on of their concerts. But if Joe goes on tour.. oh yeahhhhh Liv will be thurrrrrrrrrrrr!
I just downloaded it on itunes for $1.29 USD. (don't get me started on itunes shister-ish prices...) Well, anyways, still go download it, because it is amazing and Joe Jonas is sexy, so if you don't like the song, you can still look at the album. haha.

How to tell if a guy likes you. (not mine. just spreading the love)

Allo, Lovelies! (Hehe. I feel like this is better than Hey, everyone)

Okay. Being 18 and perpetually single, I have embarassingly scoured the giganticanmormous (my word.) search engine, google, for tips on how to know if a member of the opposite sex likes me. Most of you girls know this as the dreaded, cryptic world of "HOW TO TELL IF A GUY LIKES YOU." Those of you shy girls, don't be discouraged, you are not alone. I have enlisted the help of several of my friends in the search for the best indicators of how to tell if a guy likes you, because girls, guys are not simple creatures, as the movie industry would like to say. They are complex, brooding, and all sorts of things. They come in many varities, short, tall, skinny, fat, ugly, sexy, hot, average, etc. My friend found the website that I deem to be the most help.

Since the material isnt mine, I'm only going to give you a sample of what is on this website, and you can go look at it on your own time, and trust me, it won't be a waste of your time, because the tips are fabulous and extremely helpful!

  • If he acts immature around you, like poking, teasing or playful flirting,

  • If he invites you to his birthday party or any kind of party,

  • If he talks to you and wants to know how you’re doing,

  • If he is nicer or tries to talk to your friends.

  • This was just a sampling, and I hope you found this helpful.

    My First-ever Coach products!

    Hey Everyone!

Its been along time since ive posted, and again, my apologies. This blog post isn't a makeup product review, its more of a semi-haul. My birthday was on June 5th, and on that day I also had my graduation party. I got alot of gread gifts, but nothing I can really do a haul on, except for the COACH LEATHERWAREEEEEE! I got a cute coach bag, a travel makeup bag, and a coin pouch-thingy.

    My lovelies <3

Ive been one of those girls who drools over coach in the window, but can't afford any of it. Depressing, I know right? But I finally got some coach products. I can't complain, because I looove all of it, but the strap of the tote-ish bag never stays on my shoulder, and the makeup bag really? Its too pretty for makeup. My makeup is already ruining the inside lining. All of the bags are lined with a pretty powder-blue fabric. My only wish is that the makeup bag was lined with plastic for easy cleanup.

I hope this is helpful, and this is by no means a bragging post. <3

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme

    Hey Everyone!

Everyone needs a miracle hair product. Having the curliest hair imaginable, I need a product that can bascially do magic. This product comes pretty darn close. I enjoy having super straight, silky, frizz free hair. But in the summertime in humid Florida, that's a prayer that goes unanswered unless i book it to the hair salon. But who has $64 to drop on their hair all the time ( and yes, it does cost that much for me at the salon...) I sure as heck don't.

I was at Target, (hahaha all my blog stories start at the glorious mecca which is Target) looking for a new hair product to use when I use heat to style my hair. The day before I had just gotten my hair done for my highschool graduation, and I figured I could go about 3 days without washing my hair before it went limp and felt nasty.. I went in looking for specifically the John Frieda 3-day straight, but alas~ to my serious dismay, they didn't have it.. So I chose the next best thing, which works reallyyyy amazing! It's also very affordable, compared to my other products that don't work well such as Redken Smooth Down Serum, and Bedhead 's straightening line. At about $6 dollars it didn't break the bank in the least. The creme also has a pleasant smell to it, and contains good stuff such as coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and gardenia flower extract.

This product also can double as a very nice leave-in conditioner. I put it in my hair after I took a shower while my hair was still wet and slept on it. When I woke the next morning my hair was soft, really curly, but no frizz!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this straightening creme and will be buying it again!

    E.L.F eyeshadow quads

    Hey Everyone!

First product review of Summer one-one!

    E.L.F eyeshadow quad in Drama
The other day, June 3rd to be exact, I was at Target (OMG I LOOOOOOOVE TARGET) and I was looking for some good eyeshadow on the cheap because I didn't have that much cash on me. It was a couple of hours before my epic first date with my highschool diploma. A.K.A  Graduation. I didn't know what kind of makeup I wanted to do, so I just went with the ever-so-classic black smokey eye. It just so happened that E.L.F cosmetics had a black smokey eye quad for omg~ drumroll: $1 Dollar. Amazinggg. To be completely honest with all of you, I thought the quad was gonna be really bad~ I mean, in most circumstances, you get what you pay for. But not this time. The pigment was insane. I have way more expensive eyeshadows, mineral ones, but no joke, this one rivaled the $18 dollar Bare Minerals eyeshadows.
In my humble opinion, great makeup has to have three major qualities: (1) Noncomdogenic, (2) Affordability, and (3) Amazing Pigmentation.  I've personally never had a clogged pore on my eye, so number one check, number two check, it was only one dollar, and number three check, best pigment on the cheapest eyeshadow I've ever come across.
    Chickadees- DO BUY!

                                       xoxo, Liv

    Long time, no post!

    Hey there!
It's been a crazy few weeks since my last product review/post. I put my beloved pepper to sleep, I went to my first and only prom, I finished highschool, and I graduated! I couldn't find it in me to post for a few weeks, and then I could not find the time to do anything with this blog. Well, for my two subscribers~ ITS SUMMER, and Liv is baaaaaaacccck! I'm back with more product reviews, clothing hauls, makeup tips, and personal wisdom that i've accumulated in my short teenage life. (lol)

Revlon Grow Luscious by Fabulash (Mascara)

    Hey Everyone!

Ok. This post is definately one about makeup products. I'm the kind of girl who doesn't like having the same mascara over and over. So I try different brands/types of mascara every time I need more. I've tried tons. My previous mascara was "Falsies" by Maybelline. I liked it, but I personally didn't get the "false lash-like" look to my lashes. A little dissapointing, believe me, I know.
Sorry~ Florida sunshine makes for a crummy pic :/
I had been wanting to try Revlon Grow Luscious by Fabulash mascara for sometime. I always kept forgetting, but the last trip I made to Target, I definately remembered. I don't know about you all, but I curl my lashes before mascara application for optimum volumization of my lashes ( <-- lol)  and even though I do that before mascara, my lashes are never as volumized and alluring as I want them to be. When I got home from Target, I went to do my makeup. Yes, I ventured out in public, yes, in public, without makeup. (Yikes!) That rarely ever happens. But I did my makeup as normal and curled my lashes, and then the big moment: Mascara application time! I applied the Grow Luscious to my lashes and looked in the mirror. I was blown away at the remarkable difference one application made to my lashes.
It's now been several weeks since my initial use of the Grow Lusicious and I am still really satisfied, more than satisfied, with this mascara. I will be purchasing it again. :)
This mascara connoisseur's hunt for the perfect mascara is stalled for now~ but nowhere from over.

    Discontinued Magnolia Blossom :'(

    Hey Everyone!

    Magnolia Blossom
    (best ever <3)
I Just had to tell you all about this~
While doing my once yearly room clean, I came across a Bath and Body Works body spray that was once my favorite. I sprayed it on myself and was quickly reminded why it was my favorite. Magnolia Blossom is the best body spray besides Warm Vanilla Sugar or Butterfly Flower. It has notes of magnolia and other yummy stuff that just smells like AMAZINGNESS!! The sad thing about this awesome body spray is that it was discontinued a while back.

Dear Bath and Body Works corporation: I WANT IT BACK!!

    Tweezing Galore!

    Hey Everyone!

This post is for all of you who tweeze your eyebrows. Personally, I am too afraid to get my brows waxed or threaded. Im a tweezing kind of gal. Even though tweezing is to me less painful than other method of taming unruly brow hair, it can still be slightly uncomfortable.
I've tried many a thing to ease the pain of tweezing. The best method I have found so far is numbing the brows with an icecube wrapped in ONE papertowel. If you wrap the icecube too thick, the icecube will be ineffective.

Ok, Before you begin here's what you will need:

    Tweezers (1)
    Papertowel (1)
    Icecubes (2 or 3)
    Rubbing alcohol
    Cotton Balls (2)

Step 1 : Wet Cotton ball with Rubbing Alcohol. Apply to Brow. This step is important because when you tweze you are opening pores up. If there is leftover makeup and grime it can get into the pore and clog it causing unslightly blemishes.
Step 2:  Place Icecubes into the one papertowel and hold to brow until numb.
    Step 3: Tweeze as normal
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 to other brow.

    Happy Tweezing!!!!!

    Exuviance Blemish Treatment Gel

        Hey Everyone!

    Exuviance Blemish Treatment Gel
    $20.00 USD
    ULTA

Having a not so good complexion, im always on the hunt for a good spot treatment for my face and other trouble spots. I've tried lots and lots of different spot treatments, Neutrogena Micro Clear, Clean and Clear Persa Gel, Oxy Blemish Gel, Other Cleansers, going to the Dermatologist, etc.  But currently, im trying Exuviance Blemish Treatment Gel. As some of you may or may not know, Exuviance is the company that makes a heavy duty waterproof body foundation called Cover Blend and other various skincare products. So far, im really liking this product. It doesn't make blemishes burn or irritate the skin, which is a plus. One of the bad things is that it is sticky. It takes a few minutes to dry, but it dries sticky.  Ill get back in a few days to tell you all how it works! Suscribe if you have not already! :)

                                      xoxo,Liv

    Studio Gear Matte Foundation

    $23.00 USD
    ULTA
    Hey Everyone!!

Today, I was out and about, not looking for anything special when I remembered that I was tragically out of foundation. I have one of the worst complexions ever, and have a horrible time trying to find a foundation that works miracles and won't break the bank. A CHALLENGE! I went to the mecca of beauty products: ULTA. I had one of the employees help me select a product that I now believe can move mountains. Studio Gear's Matte Foundation. I love this stuff like crazy and i've only worn it once. My shade is Cream. Unfortunately, it's $23.00 USD. The product is slightly expensive. But I will say to it's defense, that it was the cheapest not drugstore brand I could find. I would rate this stuff a 9.5 and will be buying it again.
                                  xoxo, Liv
